From Ms. Lovato:
Hi! My name is Valerie Lovato and I am a new Kindergarten teacher at Edison Elementary. This will be my 12th year teaching, my second year at Edison – I taught 3rd grade last year. I also taught Kindergarten my very first year teaching, I am excited to come back to this age group. Some fun facts about me: I studied abroad in Spain and speak Spanish, I love all the Denver Professional Sports teams (the Broncos are my #1 favorite) and I was born and raised here in the Denver Metro Area. I can't wait to meet all the new kindergarteners and hope we have a fantastic year together.
From Mrs. Darrell:
Hey there! My name is Emily Darrell and I am so excited to be continue to be a part of the Kindergarten team! This will be my 14th year at Edison and my third year as a kindergarten teacher. I’m originally from New Hampshire, but have called myself a Colorado resident for thirteen years. This summer was the best by far! Not only did I get to spend time with my family back east, but I got married! My husband Sam and I love hiking, camping, nature photography, watching movies and eating Thai food! Another important member of my family is my little Chihuahua mix Dexter. He turned 12 years old in July, but he still loves to play fetch and go on long walks!
I’m looking forward to another great year at Edison and getting to know all of you!
From Mrs. Strebeck:
Welcome to kindergarten! This is my third year at Edison on the Kindergarten team. I live in Westminster with my husband (Alex), daughter (Lorelai) and hound dog (Darcy). I enjoy all that the Colorado mountains have to offer and in my free time I love to read, travel and exercise. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I can’t wait to be yours!
